ON Wednesday, Oct. 10, I handed out the reading schedule for The Odyssey.  The homework for MONDAY, OCT 15 is to Read pp. 760-770 in "Big Purple" and respond to each question or prompt

boxed in yellow in your English Composition Notebook (due 10/15).

I also handed out permission slips for the upcoming field trip (Wed., Oct 17) to the Hollywood Theater, along with all of the other freshmen communities, to view the documentary Hoop Dreams.  This is happening on the day that the PSAT will be administered to Sophomores and Juniors.  See the Weekly Bulletin for details on the schedule   http://www.pps.k12.or.us/schools/grant/1222.htm

These permission slips and $3 need to be returned to me by Tuesday, October 16.

I am also looking for parents who would like to chaperone this field trip.  We are planning to leave Grant High School around 9:00 a.m. and walk to the Hollywood Theater (on NE Sandy and 41st).  We plan on returning to Grant around 12:00 (when Lunch begins).  If you are interested in chaperoning, please email me at vwarfield@pps.net.
