HOMEWORK for Friday, Feb. 15:  In Big Purple, read pages 334-335, page 348, and then read the story "The Gift of the Magi" on pages 350-354.  In your English Notebook, answer questions #1, and 3-8 on page 357.  Also, expect a comprehension quiz on "The Gift of the Magi."

Today in class, we discussed the homework questions on "The Cask of Amontillado" and discussed the role that irony plays in the development of the characters and theme of the story.
